//
In the Mexica culture, Tlaloc, nectar of the Earth or ‘he who makes things sprout’ was the representation of water and fertilizing land.

Rain, thunder, lightning, hail, floods and even droughts, were attributed to Tlaloc, who was responsible for providing or destroying the crops of this great civilization.

There is a beautiful and nostalgic legend that says that the days prior to the Spanish conquest of Mexico, from the heavens, fell a slow, sad and painful rain... It was “The crying of Tlaloc.”

Delight on the Isolated Vocal tracks of ‘The Crying of Tlaloc’ from our album ‘Aztec Myths & Legends: A Narrated Concert by OMEworld’ & enjoy the breathtaking cover art.

“…Water, slowly pouring from the sky like hurtful tears, caressed the cheeks of the Mexica people… As a final farewell, he wept... He wept for Mexico.
A mournful, somber and solemn cry that was said to remain forever in the hearts of those who lived it…”
