Climb to the top of Coatepec Mountain. Feel Coatlicue’s pain and witness Huitzilopochtli’s courage while he battles to death with Coyolxauhqui, his sister, and the 400 of the South in order to defend his mother’s life and his own.

… It was then, that when the Moon and Stars were about to take Coatlicue’s life, the Sun Huitzilopochtli was born, who emerged fully grown and prepared for battle, armed with a fire serpent called Xiuhcoatl, with which he decapitated Coyolxauhqui, to then throw her from the top of Coatepec Mountain…

… Fue entonces, que cuando la Luna y las Estrellas estaban a punto de asesinar a Coatlicue, nació el Sol Huitzilopochtli, quien emergió listo para la guerra, armado con una serpiente de fuego llamada Xiuhcoatl, con la que decapitó a Coyolxauhqui, para después arrojarla desde lo alto del cerro de Coatepec…
